Perfect for Halloween, Cosplay or any occasion where you want to dial up the freak factor, blind contact lenses are the ideal way to totally transform your look in the blink of an eye! However, be aware that you may give yourself a fright too as they do cover the pupil and therefore significantly limit vision.

Before you purchase these coloured contacts, make sure that you fully understand the nature of blind effect contact lenses

  • These lenses cover both the pupil and iris in a colour pigment. The pupil is the part of the eye that creates a visual picture. If no light is entering the eye and your view is being obstructed by a coloured lens, you will not be able to see.
  • Blind Contacts do exactly that – leave you with no vision. Although you may be able to detect light and shapes, your vision will certainly be impaired.
  • Blind Contact Lenses No Vision must never be worn while driving.

The iris needs to have a clear pupil hole in order to see clearly. If you would like to have full vision while wearing coloured contact lenses, please choose a style from our other costume designs which do have a clear hole for the pupil.

We usually recommend that if you would like to wear blind contact lenses Halloween as part of your next costume, to try just using a single lens in one eye and leaving the other eye free to see. These lenses are specialist SFX lenses but you can still have plenty of fun if you fully understand the effect that they will have on your vision. The no vision contact lenses are ideal for creating eerie effects on your next photoshoot but you will definitely need someone else on hand to help you take your photos and to help you out while you are wearing the lenses.

Make sure you are experienced at removing contact lenses so that you can calmly remove your lenses while having no vision once you have finished your photoshoot.

Contact lenses are a super fun way to switch up your style, but they must be used responsibly. So, even if you do not require glasses or corrective contact lenses, you must consult an optometrist before wearing coloured lenses. This is an essential step, as your optometrist will perform a professional fitting to check that your lenses are suitable and ensure that you understand good aftercare procedures.

There's no better way to up the ante on a show-stopping fancy dress costume than with some blind contact lenses, the ideal way to take your look from normal to nightmarish in an instant. Ideal for completing any creepy costume or adding an unexpectedly macabre twist to an everyday ensemble, blind full eye contact lenses are guaranteed to attract attention!

If opaque contact lenses blind are not for you then we have plenty of other similar styles that you are sure to love for Halloween. Styles such as our White Zombie and Black Halloween lenses have a clear pupil hole but will also allow you to enjoy a pigmented iris.

Sensory deprivation contact lenses

If you are looking for contact lenses that give no vision in order to experience sensory deprivation then you may enjoy the Blind White Contact Lenses as these offer the most coverage. However, it is important to note that these costume contact lenses are designed for fashion use and are not intended to be used for sensory deprivation therefore some light and shapes may still show through, particularly with the Blackout Contact Lenses No Vision.

Blind Contact Lenses Review

Here’s what some of our affiliates have to say about the Blind Lenses that they have tested.

  • @rupsashan wearing our Red Blind Lenses - "These will impair your vision! They’re not meant to be for seeing out of, just for the effect!"
  • @makeupmadhouse wearing our White Blind Lenses - "These lenses are so gorgeous and really comfortable (I couldn’t feel them at all!) I needed help taking photos for this look since I couldn’t see, but it was completely worth it for the results."

Types of Blind Effect Contact Lenses:

  • White Blind Contact Lenses
  • Blackout Contact Lenses
  • Alternative Blind Contact Lenses: Red Blind, Grey Blind, Mesh & Screen

If you think that you would prefer lenses that do have a pupil hole, here are the equivalent lenses WITH pupil hole to look out for. Many of these styles are available in a variety of durations and in non-prescription or prescription variations:

  • White Halloween Zombie Coloured Contacts
  • Black Halloween Coloured Contacts
  • Red Blood Coloured Contacts
  • Grey Undead Coloured Contacts

Wearing white out contact lenses does give a cool effect to all kinds of Halloween costumes but when it comes to Black Blind Lenses, the effect is very similar to the Black Halloween Lenses as your pupil is already dark in colour.

There are plenty of ways to have fun with blind contact lenses no pupil but it is important to be aware of the effect that these lenses will have due to their pigmented pupil. If you have read all the information, and have carefully chosen how and when to use your blind effect lenses then we are sure you will have a great time experimenting with these specialist SFX coloured contacts. Why not check out our video included with each product to see what your vision might look like while you are wearing your blind contact lenses?

Add your blind contact lenses to your next horror photoshoot for truly terrifying results that are sure to look super creepy! Plenty of our affiliates have used our blind effect contact lenses and absolutely loved the results but they did need help to take pictures while wearing the lenses or needed to set up their camera before inserting the blind coloured contacts.

Once you have finished applying your Halloween makeup, we would recommend putting in a single blind effect lens and closing the other eye so you can test the effect of the lenses on your vision before inserting the second lens.
