While Ursula certainly steals the show in the 1989 Little Mermaid movie, talk has turned to the new look of Ariel in the 2023 remake. This welcome change has caused plenty of discussion. Hans Christian Andersen’s Little Mermaid is described as beautiful but many details of her appearance are never disclosed. Besides her delicate skin, sea blue eyes, and fish tail her hair colour and other details are not mentioned.
